How it Works

To access items from FMB, a free membership is required. (Agencies, nonprofits and community organizations, may join for a nominal annual fee). 

To be eligible for membership, applicants must live in Baltimore city and follow the guidelines of FMB which are:

• Only take what you need

• Do not sell or attempt to return items received from FMB

• Pay it Forward (receive kindness, return kindness)

• 1 membership her household / address

• Each request* may include a maximum of 10 items

• Households are limited to 1 request per quarter

• Follow rules regarding product quantity limitations

*Different guidelines apply to agencies, nonprofits and community organizations which can submit referrals for clients or request items needed by their agencies throughout the year. (Some stipulations still apply).

All items in FMB are free. Members may receive items they request in the following ways:

• Pick up from the warehouse (available once a month)

• Receive items via local delivery (available bi-weekly)**

• Receive items in the mail (we ship orders every day)**

*All requests are requests, not guarantees. Orders must be confirmed.
